General Appearance Info

Overview

  • Our mascot appearance is designed to engage and entertain your audience for a duration of 30 minutes. To ensure a successful and smooth event, please review the following details and confirm your expected attendance before we approve the request.  

Day of Appearance

Arrival & Preparation: The mascot and their handler will arrive at the event venue 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appearance start time. This will allow enough time for the mascot performer to locate their provided changing room, go over any last-minute details with the event organizer, and get into costume. 

Introduction: The mascot will make a grand entrance, introducing themselves and engaging with the audience through enthusiastic interactions and welcoming gestures.  

Activity Segment: The mascot will participate in various activities such as games, photo opportunities, and interactive segments tailored to the event theme. This time is designed to maximize audience participation and enjoyment.  

Closing: The mascot will conclude their appearance with a memorable send-off, including final photo opportunities, farewells, and any closing remarks or acknowledgments as appropriate. 

Requirements

  • Confirmation of Attendance: Please provide a confirmation of the expected number of attendees and the event location at least one week prior to the event date. This information helps us prepare accordingly and ensures the mascot's appearance is tailored to your audience's needs.  
  • Venue Setup: Ensure that the event venue has adequate space for mascot activities and is prepared for interactive elements. The mascot may require a designated area for preparation and rest.  

Additional Information

Additional Costs and Contingencies: Any adjustments to the scheduled appearance time, including late start times or cancellations, must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance. If the appearance starts later than the agreed-upon time or extends beyond the scheduled end time, additional fees will apply to cover the extra duration. This policy helps manage unforeseen changes and ensures that all costs are accounted for. 

Safety & Health Guidelines:  
--Please consider the health and safety of our performers. 
--No performance may take place in inclement weather. 

Cancellation

  • If an appearance is canceled by the NY Islanders, a full refund will be given; a refund will not be given in the event that unavoidable incidents results in the shortening or cancellation of an appearance that Nyisles/Sparky is in the process of arriving to or has begun the performance.
  • Cancellations made by the requestor five (5) business days prior results in a full refund.
  • Cancellations made by the requestor five (5) to two (2) business days prior results in a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made by the requestor less than two (2) business days prior results in no refund.
  • The performer reserves the right to leave from any appearance they deem unsafe, harmful or uncomfortable with no refund.

Deliveries, Surprise Appearances and Surprise Seat Visits

  • The responsibility of notifying the intended recipient of the visit or experience falls on the purchaser not the mascot, MascotLink Bookings, nor other partners. Especially since this may or may not be a surprise for the intended recipient.
  • Deliveries and seat visits are non-refundable unless the experience is canceled or rescheduled due to league or local government policies.
